CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Gordon College men's soccer team posted a 2-2 tie at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Monday in the resumption of a game that was suspended September 6.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon grabbed a 1-0 edge in the 27th minute. Luke Lindas (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) found the back of the net off of an assist from Benny Simpson (Evergreen, Colo.).
- MIT equalized in the 43rd minute to tie the match at 1-1.
- The Engineers captured a 2-1 lead in the 68th minute as Gianluca Balestrieri bagged his second goal of the game.
- The Fighting Scots knotted the contest at 2-2 with a strike in the 79th minute. Will Goodling (Charlotte, N.C.) collected his first tally of the season as Benny Simpson (Evergreen, Colo.) picked up his team-leading fifth assist.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Cortez Cardrone (Villanova, Pa.) led the visitors with three shots while Will Goodling (Charlotte, N.C.) fired a pair of shots.
- Goalkeeper Riley Calemmo (Pocono Mountain, Pa.) managed three saves.
- Gordon generated eight shot attempts in the match while MIT registered 11 shots.
