DUDLEY, Mass.- The Gordon College volleyball team chalked up its 20th victory of the season, defeating Nichols 3-0 Wednesday evening. With their 20th win of the year, the Fighting Scots have reached 20 victories in a single season for the first time since 2015.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Gordon cruised to a 25-15 win in the first set to establish a 1-0 lead.
• The Fighting Scots captured the second frame 25-16 to stretch the gap to 2-0.
• The visitors earned a 25-17 victory in the third to lock up their fourth-consecutive sweep.

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Annie Zimmerman (Austin, Texas) posted 11 kills to go with nine digs and four aces.
• Haley Hutzler (Long Island, N.Y.) finished with 11 digs and nine kills.
• Annika Schmitt (Quincy, Mass.) notched 27 assists, four kills, four digs, and three service aces.
• Allison Trogdon (Williamsburg, Va.) and Teagan Brideweser (Warwick, N.Y.) both tallied four kills.
• Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I.) registered a team-high 14 digs on the night.
