Gordon College Men's Basketball hosted the Western New England (WNE) Golden Bears on the Fighting Scots' senior day. The Scots controlled the tempo the majority of the game until the Golden Bears made a late push to take a 85-74 win.
For the Fighting Scots,
Bernie McGuinness notched 28 points,
Isaac Jarvis hit nine points with seven rebounds, while
Alex Daniel and
Bruce McGuire scored another nine points.
Cody Palazzesi hit 26 points for the Golden Bears,Â

Luka Vlajkovic scored 13.
How It Happened
- Throughout the first, the Scots and the Golden Bears traded blows as neither team could pull out in front with a substantial lead. McGuinness was perfect from the field as he scored 11 points. Bryce Smith displayed superb court vision as he set up seven first half baskets for the Scots. The Scots went into the half up two points (42-40)
- McGuiness scored six straight points to start the second half extending the Scots lead to eight (48-40). Then Golden Bears went on a run of their own. They held a nine point lead (66-57) with ten minutes left until McGuinness led another run to bring the Scots back within one point (68-67). However, the Golden Bears held to win 85-74. Â
