How It Happened
- After the home team rattled off seven unanswered in the opening quarter, the Fighting Scots went on a tear in the second, firing back with seven goals of their own to bring the score to 9-7 at halftime. Gordon tallied the final five goals of the second to take the momentum into the break.
- Both defenses were on display in the third, in a low offensive quarter where the Blue outscored Gordon 3-1 to hold the 12-8 edge going into the fourth.
- In the final frame, Wellesley started it off with a goal, before Mini came right back to keep it a four-score game. With just over six minutes remaining, Hutton ripped a shot in the back of the net (13-10), but Wellelsey held on in the closing minutes for the narrow win.
