Box Score With the Fighting Scots returning to action this afternoon, Gordon College Mens Tennis traveled down to Connecticut to take a thrilling victory over Saint Joseph's 5-2 for their first match-up against the Blue Jays as part of the Conference of New England (CNE).
How It Happened
- The Blue Jays were able to win No. 3 doubles, but the Fighting Scots bounced back to take the overall doubles victory thanks to wins from Jeffrey Bodner and Joshua Noel (7-5) on the top court as well as Vittal Harith and Gabriel Guzman (6-4) in No. 2 action.
- After fighting through a pair of singles losses to the home team, the Scots came back with determination to secure four straight match wins to claim victory over the Blue Jays. Harith was able to take the first win back for the Scots to beat his opponent (6-2, 6-0.) Gabriel Guzeman and Lucas Barnes were able to keep preserving for the Scots taking the triumph over both of their opponents. In the final match of the day, Carleton Riester was able bring all his energy to the court and take the tie breaker win (7-5.)
Gordon returns back to their home courts to play their CNE opponent Nichols on April 2 at 3:30 p.m.
