Gordon College Baseball visited Boston to take on the Suffolk Rams in conference play this afternoon. The Scots brought the Rams to extra innings and took the conference win 6-5. 

How It Happened

• The first run of the game came in the third inning off a Suffolk single. 
• Robert Dunkle tied it up at 1-1 with a single in the sixth. 
• With the first at bat in the seventh, Hunter Normandin got the Scots rolling with a double. Jacob Blake later brought him home with a single to right field (2-1). Jonathan McIntyre extended the lead to 3-1 in the seventh with a single to left field. 
• The Rams fought back to score three runs in the bottom of the seventh, retaking the lead (4-3).
• A Ram's error in the top of the eighth brought the game back to a tie at 4-4. Still tied at the conclusion of the ninth, the game went into extra innings.
• In the top of the tenth, Evan Clark smacked a double to left center. After Clark, Normandin stepped up to the plate and knocked another double to send across a lead taking run (5-4). An error from the runs brought the Scots' lead to 6-4. 
• The Rams scored a run in the bottom of the tenth, adding pressure on the Scots' defense. However, Mike Williams got the Rams to swing for the final out of the game and clinched a 6-5 win.

Beyond The Box Score

• Tyler Wilson stole his fourteenth base on the season.
• This is the first time the Fighting Scots have beat the Rams on their Diamond.
• The Fighting Scots face Anna Maria on Thursday, April 10.
