Today, Fighting Scots' track star
Rachel Brennan competes against the top student-athletes in the country at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Geneva, Ohio. This will be the second consecutive year that Brennan competes in the NCAA DIIIÂ Outdoor Track & Field National Championship. Additionally, Brennan will battle it out in her third National Championship in the 2024-2025 academic year (cross country and indoor track & field).
Last year at the Championship, Brennan finished twelfth in the 10k with a time of 36:39.62 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In her final meet, the most decorated runner in Gordon College history will compete in the 10k as well as the 5k. Â
The guns goes off for the 10k today at 9:15 p.m. this evening. Brennan is seeded at 34:28.04 which ranks fourth in the field. She achieved this time earlier in the season at the WashU Distance Carnival where she took second place.
In the 5k, Brennan is seeded 10th with a time of 16:36.12. Her time came at the Sean Collier Invitational in April which propelled her to a fourth place finish. The event starts on Saturday at 4:25 p.m.
Brennan is the lone representative from the Conference of New England in both events.Â
