WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College men's soccer team picked up a 3-1 victory over Thomas Friday night at the Brigham Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon got on the board in the waning moments of the first half, benefitting from a Thomas own goal with 20 seconds on the clock.
- The Fighting Scots doubled their advantage to 2-0 in the 67th minute. Max Cardone (Villanova, Pa.) headed in a corner kick off the boot of Benny Simpson (Evergreen, Colo.).
- The Terriers trimmed the gap to 2-1 in the 82nd minute as Andrew Hodgins converted a penalty kick.
- Gordon reclaimed a two-goal margin in the 86th minute, 3-1. Sylver Godines (New Braunfels, Texas) knocked in a loose ball inside the box as Max Cardone (Villanova, Pa.) picked up an assist.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Will Goodling (Charlotte, N.C.) and Max Cardone (Villanova, Pa.) both fired a team-high three shots on the night.
- Goalkeeper Riley Calemmo (Pocono Mountain, Pa.) finished with two saves in his collegiate debut.
- Gordon racked up 17 shot attempts while Thomas concluded the contest with eight.
- The Fighting Scots owned a 13-3 advantage in corner kicks earned.
