WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's volleyball team opened the 2025 season with a 3-0 loss to Lasell Friday evening as part of the Gordon College Invitational at the Bennett Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Lasell captured the first set 25-20 to snag a 1-0 edge.
• The Lasers prevailed 25-17 in the second frame to extend their lead to 2-0.
• The visitors cruised to a 25-11 decision to lock up their second victory of the night.

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Haley Hutzler (Long Island, N.Y.) finished with a team-high six kills and added six digs.
• Annika Schmitt (Quincy, Mass.) posted 18 assists, six digs, and a pair of service aces.
• Annie Zimmerman (Austin, Texas) notched five kills.
• Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I.) registered seven digs while Teagan Brideweser (Warwick, N.Y.) recorded four blocks.

 
LOOKING AHEAD:
Gordon returns to the court August 30 to take on Husson and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy as part of the Gordon Invitational.
