WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's volleyball team swept Husson 3-0 before knocking off the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy 3-1 Saturday afternoon at the Bennett Center to conclude the Gordon Invitational.

- Gordon cruised to a 25-14 win in the first set to grab a 1-0 edge.

- The home side triumphed 25-20 in the third to secure head coach Derek Schmitt's first victory at Gordon.

- Annie Zimmerman (Austin, Texas) tallied a team-best 11 kills while adding eight digs.
- Haley Hutzler (Long Island, N.Y.) posted 11 digs and five kills.
- Teagan Brideweser (Warwick, N.Y.) also notched five kills in the win.
- Annika Schmitt (Quincy, Mass.) finished with 17 assists, eight digs, four kills, and four aces.

- Gordon clawed back to earn a 25-19 win in the second to knot the match at 1-1.
- The hosts edged the visitors 25-23 in the third frame to snag a 2-1 lead.
- The Fighting Scots rolled to a 25-12 decision in the fourth set to claim their second victory of the day.
