WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College volleyball team posted a 3-1 victory over Rivier Thursday evening at the Bennett Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Gordon cruised to a 25-10 win in the opening set to establish a 1-0 advantage in the match.
• Rivier responded with a 25-22 victory in the second frame to pull even at 1-1.
• The Fighting Scots bounced back to capture the third set 25-16 to reclaim a one-set edge, 2-1.
• Gordon prevailed 25-15 in the fourth to clinch a 3-1 victory.

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Haley Hutzler (Long Island, N.Y.) tallied a team-high 16 kills while adding 13 digs.
• Annie Zimmerman (Austin, Texas) finished with 11 kills and 17 digs.
• Teagan Brideweser (Warwick, N.Y.) racked up a season-best 11 kills.
• Maria Clarabuch (Sant Cugat Del Valles, Spain) chipped in with 10 kills on the night.
• Annika Schmitt (Quincy, Mass.) registered 39 assists, seven digs, and five service aces.
• Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I..) added 13 digs and five assists.
