WATERVILLE, Maine- The Gordon College field hockey team suffered a 7-1 setback at Thomas Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Thomas tallied three goals in the opening period to construct a 3-0 lead.
- The Terriers tacked on three scores in the second quarter to extend their advantage to 6-0.
- Gordon got on the board in the third frame to trim the deficit to 6-1. LilyAnna Hopkins (Stillwater, N.Y.) netted her first goal of the season as Kaitlyn Carlsen (Bel Air, Md.) collected her first collegiate assist.
- Thomas chalked up a goal in the fourth quarter to secure its third-straight victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- LilyAnna Hopkins (Stillwater, N.Y.) recorded Gordon's only shot of the contest.
- Allyson Stauffer (Lancaster, Pa.) concluded the game with 14 saves between the pipes.
- Gordon registered one shot attempt on the night while Thomas racked up 31 shots.
