NORTH HAMPTON, N.H. — The Gordon College women's golf team closed out a two-tournament weekend Sunday with a third-place finish at the Hampton Beach Invitational at Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club.
The Fighting Scots posted a team score of 418 on the 5,647-yard, par-71 layout, finishing behind Saint Anselm (338) and Suffolk (362) and ahead of Endicott (493). Krisna Mahedran of Suffolk University earned Individual Medalist honors with an 82, ahead of St. Anselm's top two scorers.
Myla Glaser led Gordon with a 97, finishing ninth overall.
Addyson Peterson followed with a 101, while
Elizabeth Parent recorded a 107 and
Kimmy Stevenson added a 113 to complete Gordon's four counting scores.
Chloe Korb rounded out the team lineup with a 115.
Gordon also received strong performances from its three individual competitors.
Hayden Peck carded a 105, while
Cassidy Costello and
Olivia Miller each shot 106. The three finished consecutively among Gordon's scorers and all placed inside the top-16 individually, out of the 24-player field.
The round marked a quick turnaround for the Fighting Scots after competing Saturday at Windham Country Club. Gordon showed improvement across the lineup on Sunday, highlighted by Glaser breaking 100 and strong bounce-back rounds from Costello and Miller.
With the regular-season weekend complete, the Fighting Scots now turn their attention to the Conference of New England Championship, where Gordon will compete next weekend. The Scots enter the weekend with a winning record (W7-L5-T0), the first time in program history.
