HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon started the contest strong, opening up a 22-7 lead with 10:42 left to play in the first half.
- Back-to-back buckets by Alex Daniel (Nolensville, Tenn.) in the final seconds of the opening frame pushed the Fighting Scots' halftime advantage to 37-26.
- Western New England battled back to seize a 54-53 edge with less than seven minutes to go in regulation.
- The Fighting Scots responded with a trey by Alex Daniel (Nolensville, Tenn.) to grab a 56-54 lead with 6:32 on the clock.
- The home team strung together a 10-5 run to sport a 64-61 advantage with 2:39 remaining in the second stanza.
- Western New England converted 6-of-9 from the free throw stripe down the stretch to secure its fifth win in a row.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Alex Daniel (Nolensville, Tenn.) paced the Scots with 24 points and three steals.
- Isaac Jarvis (Concord, N.H.) finished with 17 points.
- Ryan Brooks (Dudley, Mass.) registered 10 points and eight rebounds.
- Chiko Kalu (Queens, N.Y.) added nine points and six boards.
- Gordon concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 38.7% and sank 5-of-19 from beyond the arc.
- Western New England shot 45.6% from the floor and 35.7% from three-point range.
- Avery Mickens scored a game-high 25 points off the bench for the Golden Bears while Matt Houde poured in 24 points. Luka Vlajkovic chipped in with a double-double with 18 rebounds and 15 points.
