GREENVILLE, Pa.- The Gordon College men's lacrosse team broke into the win-column with a dominant 24-3 victory at Thiel Friday afternoon. The win marks head coach
Zachary Scarano's first career victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon netted five goals in the opening quarter to establish a 5-0 advantage.
- The Fighting Scots outscored the Tomcats 9-1 in the second period to extend the lead to 14-1.
- The visitors tacked on four goals in the third while limiting the hosts to one goal to stretch the gap to 18-2.
- Gordon tallied six goals in the fourth quarter while Thiel managed one score as the Fighting Scots cruised to their first victory of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jackson Wright (Cazenovia, N.Y.) notched a team-high six goals to go with nine ground balls.
- Ryan Arthur (Manorville, N.Y.) posted four goals and three assists.
- Kennedy Opie (Natick, Mass.) scored three goals and added two assists.
- Caden Lake (Basking Ridge, N.J.) finished with three goals and one assist while Wyatt Lake (Basking Ridge, N.J.) chalked up three goals.
- Aidan Walsh (Scituate, Mass.) won 15-of-16 face-offs and collected 11 ground balls.
- Finn Smith (Windham, Maine) recorded seven ground balls and five caused-turnovers.
- Between the pipes, CJ Veader (Bristol, R.I.) registered five saves.
- Gordon racked up a season-high 65 shots while holding Thiel to 13 attempts.
