DUDLEY, Mass.- The Gordon College women's lacrosse team suffered an 18-4 setback at Nichols Tuesday evening in the first Conference of New England (CNE) contest of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nichols established a 3-1 edge after the first quarter of play.
- The Bison outscored the Fighting Scots 8-2 in the second frame to extend their lead to 11-3 at the half.
- The home side tallied four goals in the third period while keeping the visitors off the scoreboard to widen the gap to 15-3.
- Nichols finished with a 3-1 advantage in fourth-quarter scoring to roll to its third victory of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Hannah Bilowz (Woburn, Mass.) netted two goals and collected five ground balls.
- Hannah Rose (Andover, Mass.) chalked up one goal, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
- Jocelyn Noyes (Byfield, Mass.) added one goal and a pair of ground balls.
- Violet Manson (Plymouth, N.H.) finished with a team-high four draw controls.
- In goal, Kayla Davidson (Dracut, Mass.) posted 13 saves in her fourth start.
- Gordon registered 20 shots in the game while Nichols generated 35 attempts.
