WOONSOCKET, R.I.- The Gordon College baseball team dropped a 4-0 decision before earning a 5-1 win over Anna Maria Saturday afternoon in a non-conference twinbill.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Anna Maria snagged an early 1-0 lead with a run in the bottom of the first inning.
- The AMCats tacked on a run in the third to double their advantage to 2-0.
- Anna Maria added a pair of runs in the fourth to stretch the gap to 4-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Anna Maria opened the scoring in the bottom of the third inning, plating one run to grab a 1-0 edge.
- Gordon chalked up three runs in the fourth to claim a 3-1 lead.
- The Fighting Scots picked up a run in the fifth inning to extend their advantage to 4-1.
- Gordon produced one run in the top of the sixth to widen the margin to 5-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Gabe Fales (Middleton, Mass.) and Yandel Pichardo (Fall River, Mass.) both notched one hit, one RBI, and one run scored.
- Adam Gracie (Swansea, Mass.) and CJ Massella (Blue Bell, Pa.) each finished with one RBI and a base knock.
- Gabe Fales (Middleton, Mass.) hurled five innings and racked up 10 strikeouts in his second start on the mound. Matt Pancurak (Medford, N.J.) threw two innings and registered three strikeouts in his fourth relief appearance.
