BRISTOL, R.I.- The Gordon College men's lacrosse team absorbed an 11-3 loss at Roger Williams Wednesday evening in the first Conference of New England (CNE) contest of the spring.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Roger Williams scored three goals in the first quarter to grab a 3-0 lead.
- The home side outscored the visitors 3-1 in the second frame to sport a 6-1 advantage at the half.
- The Hawks edged the Fighting Scots 2-1 in third-period scoring to stretch the gap to 8-2.
- Roger Williams tallied three goals in the final quarter while limiting Gordon to one goal en route to its second consecutive win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Ryan Arthur (Manorville, N.Y.), Caden Lake (Basking Ridge, N.J.), Kennedy Opie (Natick, Mass.) each netted one goal.
- Ryan Long (North Reading, Mass.) dished out a pair of assists.
- Aidan Walsh (Scituate, Mass.) finished 14-for-18 from the faceoff X and collected a team-high nine ground balls.
- Senior goalie CJ Veader (Bristol, R.I.) posted a season-high 21 saves.
- The Fighting Scots fired 23 shots while Roger Williams racked up 54 shot attempts.
