NEWTON, Mass.- The Gordon College men's lacrosse team absorbed a 17-14 loss at Lasell Friday evening in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lasell poured in seven goals in the opening quarter and limited Gordon to just one tally.
- The Fighting Scots outscored the Lasers 4-3 in the second frame as the home side owned a 10-5 lead at the half.
- The visitors held a 5-4 edge in third-period scoring to narrow the gap to 14-10.
- Gordon netted four goals while Lasell produced three goals in the fourth quarter en route to its second win of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jackson Wright (Cazenovia, N.Y.) netted four goals and added one assist.
- Ryan Long (North Reading, Mass.) finished with three goals and three assists.
- Kennedy Opie (Natick, Mass.) scored three goals and dished out two assists.
- Ryan Arthur (Manorville, N.Y.) chipped in with a pair of goals.
- In goal, senior CJ Veader (Bristol, R.I.) posted seven saves.
- Gordon recorded 37 shot attempts in the contest while Lasell fired 49 shots.
