PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Gordon College women's lacrosse team fell 24-7 at Johnson & Wales Thursday in the first-ever matchup between the teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Johnson & Wales rolled out to a 13-1 lead through the opening 15 minutes of action.
- The Wildcats edged the Fighting Scots 3-2 in second-quarter scoring to extend the margin to 16-3 at the half.
- The hosts chalked up four goals in the third while limiting the visitors to one score to sport a 20-4 advantage.
- Johnson & Wales outscored Gordon 4-3 in the final frame to pick up its fourth-consecutive win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jocelyn Noyes (Byfield, Mass.) posted two goals, four ground balls, and two draw controls.
- Marializ Lopez (Valley Stream, N.Y.) also tallied a pair of goals.
- Hannah Bilowz (Woburn, Mass.) notched one goal and collected a team-high nine draw controls.
- Hannah Rose (Andover, Mass.) added one goal and one assist while Sophia Tommassoni (Annapolis, Md.) chipped in with one goal.
- Between the pipes, Laureen Leggett (Peabody, Mass.) made 10 saves in her second start of the season.
- Gordon finished with 10 shot attempts while Johnson & Wales registered 46 shots.
