FINAL RESULTS
WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's track and field team surged to a second-place finish at the Conference of New England (CNE) Championships Saturday at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
TOP PERFORMANCES:
- Lizzie Gaskill topped the podium in the 100 meters and the 200 meters, clocking personal-best times in both events.
- Emily Bengtson captured a first-place finish in the 400 meters with a personal-best mark of 57.75 seconds.
- Gordon's 4x100-meter relay squad of Lizzie Gaskill, Maya Drouillard, Josie Hendricks, and Anissa Lewis shattered the school record to clinch a gold-medal finish with a time of 48.72.
- Josie Hendricks cruised to a first-place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 3.35 meters.
- Alivia Geraghty finished first in the hammer throw with a toss of 53.05 meters and broke the school record in the discus throw with a mark of 36.30 meters to claim second.
- Olivia Thornton earned a silver medal in the 800 meters while Anissa Lewis captured second in the long jump and triple jump.
- Jenna Lindsay claimed third in the 400 meters and set a new school record in the 400-meter hurdles to earn bronze.
- Julie Anderson bested her own school record to capture third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
- The Fighting Scots' 4x400-meter relay team of Jenna Lindsay, Maya Drouillard, Julie Anderson, Emily Bengtson posted a third-place finish.
