SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Highlighted by a regional title in the hammer throw by Alivia Geraghty and a top-5 finish by Lizzie Gaskill in the 100-meter dash, the Gordon College women's track & field team competed at the New England Outdoor Championships hosted by Springfield College.
 

TOP PERFORMANCES:

• Alivia Geraghty captured a first-place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 53.93 meters.
• Lizzie Gaskill claimed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.32 seconds. She also earned an eighth-place finish in the 200-meter dash.
• Emily Bengtson finished eighth in the 400 meters with a mark of 59.17 seconds.
• Gordon's 4x400-meter relay team of Jenna Lindsay, Maya Drouillard, Emily Bengtson, and Olivia Thornton shattered the school record to clinch sixth with a time of 4:06.12.

 
LOOKING AHEAD:
Gordon is slated to compete at the NEICAAA Championships May 8-9.
