WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College field hockey team suffered a 5-0 setback to the University of Saint Joseph Tuesday afternoon at the Brigham Athletic Complex in the first contest of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Saint Joseph netted a pair of goals in the opening quarter to capture a 2-0 lead.
- The Blue Jays tacked on a goal in the second period to extend the margin to 3-0.
- The visitors tallied two goals in the fourth frame to wrap up a 5-0 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Kaitlyn Carlsen (Bel Air, Md.) and LilyAnna Hopkins (Stillwater, N.Y.) each fired two shots in the contest.
- Haylee Briggs (Plymouth, Mass.) finished with five saves between the pipes.
- The Fighting Scots produced six shot attempts while the Blue Jays fired 14 shots.
