WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College volleyball team cruised to its third-consecutive sweep with a 3-0 victory over Maine Maritime Friday evening at the Bennett Center on day one of the Gordon Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Scots posted a wire-to-wire 25-17 win in the opening set to capture a 1-0 lead.
- Gordon extended its advantage to 2-0 with a 25-21 decision in the second frame.
- The home side triumphed 25-14 in the third to wrap up its third-consecutive victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Haley Hutzler (Long Island, N.Y.) racked up a match-best 16 kills to go with 14 digs.
- Annie Zimmerman (Austin, Texas) finished with nine kills while Teagan Brideweser (Warwick, N.Y.) added five kills.
- Vivian Castano (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) chalked up 29 assists, six digs, and four service aces.
- Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I.) paced Gordon with a season-high 20 digs.
