Gordon College Athletics

Senior Faith Gerdes led the Fighting Scots Volleyball team to a 3-0 week, including a five-set thriller over St. Joseph's (Maine) on Tuesday. Gordon improved to 7-3 on the season as Gerdes put up eye-popping stats across the board during the week. 

Not once, but twice Gerdes led the team in kills with 17 finishes against St. Joe's and Daniel Webster. Her kills did not come at the expense of her hitting percentage, as she finished with a team-high .398 percentage for the week. Her 48 points and eight block assists were also team stat leaders. 

Gerdes was in the running for CCC Player of the Week and has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for the week of September 16, 2014.
