Gordon Volleyball sophomore Maggie Risma (Hudson, Ohio) has been selected Gordon's Athlete of the Week after being named the Corvias ECAC and CCC Libero of the Week last week.

Risma averaged 6.20 digs per set and added six service aces for the Fighting Scots, who rode a 2-1 week into the sixth and final seed in CCC Championship. Risma collected 23 digs as Gordon shutout Wentworth, 3-0, in a head-to-head battle for the final tournament slot. She added 17 digs in a 3-0 victory over a 22-win Worcester State squad and chipped in 22 more in a 3-1 victory over Salem State.

The sophomore had a standout season for the Scots despite not being named an All-CCC team member. Risma led the conference in digs, digs per set and was among the leaders in service aces this season. At the close of the regular season she also ranked 36^th nationally in digs per set with an average of 5.45—only Brianna Perry of UMass-Dartmouth, Elizabeth Glavan of UMass-Boston and Katie Warshaw of Amherst ranked higher in the New England region.
