Meghan Foley (Malden, Mass.) is Gordon's Athlete of the Week after being named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.

The freshman guard averaged over 16 points for the week, while adding above-average numbers in rebounds, assists and steals.

The Fighting Scots won their second CCC game of the year on Tuesday, beating host Curry by double-digits. Gordon won its second conference game quicker than it has in over a decade and sits at 2-1 in the league entering the new year. Foley put up a double-double effort­­—15 points and 10 rebounds—in the win over the Colonels.

Gordon dropped a pair of tough non-conference games to close out the week, but Foley remained a viable presence in all facets of the game. She scored 18 points against NEWMAC foe Emerson before finishing off the stellar stretch with 16 and seven boards against a veteran-laden Brandeis squad.

The Fighting Scots play one more game before the turn of the new year, when they host Thomas on December 30 at 2 p.m.
