Gordon Track & Field thrower Schuyler Anderson (Melbourne, Fla.) has been named Gordon's Athlete of the Week for his consistently outstanding performances for the Fighting Scots throughout the outdoor season.

Anderson has broken numerous personal and school bests on the year, setting a new Gordon mark in the discus with a 126'7 toss on April 14 at the Solomon Invitational hosted by Northeastern University. Most recently, he once again topped his own record in the hammer at the MIT Spring Invitational on April 21, finishing with a 157'8 result.

Anderson's record-setting hammer toss qualified him for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships set for May 17-18 in Troy, N.Y. This marks his second postseason meet qualification, having previously qualified for the DIII Track & Field Championships to be held on May 4 at MIT.
