As announced today by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), midfielder Anna Blomberg (Simsbury, Conn.) has been named to the IWLCA Pilgrim Region Second Team for her standout play with the Fighting Scots throughout their 2013 campaign.

In total, the IWLCA honored 256 student athletes from Division III with selection to one of the All-Region teams. These athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on May 9.

Blomberg, who was named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Lacrosse First Team at the close of the regular season, receives the IWLCA nod after guiding the Scots to one of the most successful seasons in program history. The junior captain recorded 79 points off 62 goals and 17 assists with a .920 shots on goal percentage during Gordon's 15-game season. She was also the team's leader in ground balls (39), was second in caused turnovers (15), and third in draw controls (51).
