CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Gordon's men's track & field team competed at the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by MIT at Morrison Track Saturday and posted three top-ten finishes.
The 4x100-meter relay team of
Sevon Newman,
Spencer Roffee,
Kevin Leblanc, and
Alex King placed sixth in 51.83.
Chase Silvia finished sixth in the high jump as he cleared the bar at 1.83 meters. King jumped 3.95 meters in the pole vault and placed seventh.
Jesse Edwards led the Fighting Scots in the 5000 meters as he finished 12
th in 17:05.84. Silvia also placed 13
th in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.28.
Mike Patoto finished 13
th in the discus with a toss of 31.53 meters.
Christian Draus placed 14
th in the shot put with a throw of 10.62 meters.
Jack Gilbert finished 16
th in the 1500 meters in 4:29.01.
Spencer Roffee placed 20
th in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:08.96. Newman also finished 22
nd in the javelin with a toss of 28.57 meters.
Benjamin Schneider placed 27
th in 2:24.90.
Gordon will next compete at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Invitational hosted by Roger Williams April 28.
