NORTHAMPTON, Mass. — Gordon's men's track team competed at the Carla Coffey Invitational hosted by Smith College and posted ten top-ten finishes at the meet.
Alex King led the team with a second-place finish in the pole vault as he cleared the bar at 3.65 meters. The 4x400-meter relay team placed third in 3:50.09.
Sebastian Toro finished third in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 11:24.64.
Matt Jaeger placed fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 11.98 meters.
Jack Gilbert finished fifth in the 1500 meters in 4:33.32.
Chase Silvia placed fifth in the high jump as he cleared the bar at 1.73 meters, sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:05.27, and eighth in the long jump with a jump of 5.86 meters.
Sevon Newman finished eighth in the discus with a toss of 28.67 meters.
Christian Draus placed ninth in the shot put with a toss of 10.43 meters.
Newman also finished 12
th in the javelin with a throw of 28.18 meters.
Benjamin Schneider placed 12
th in the 800 meters in 2:29.72.
Spencer Roffee finished 12
th in the 400 meters in 1:02.02.
Kevin Leblanc led Gordon with a 28
th place finish in the 200 meters in 25.98.
The Fighting Scots will next compete at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College April 14.
