WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College volleyball team landed three student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as the organization unveiled its 2025 CSC Academic All-District Teams recently.
Haley Hutzler (Long Island, N.Y.),
Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I.), and
Annika Schmitt (Quincy, Mass.) earned CSC Academic All-District recognition for the first times in their careers.
The Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Hutzler, an All-Conference of New England second team performer, appeared in 30 matches this season and racked up a team-high 348 kills while ranking second on the squad with 363 digs. She added 41 aces and 24 blocks on the year.
Pierce was the only student-athlete to see action in all 31 matches this fall while leading the team with 394 digs. She also chipped in with 93 assists and 49 service aces.
Schmitt started 30 matches this season and dished out 898 assists en route to earning All-Conference of New England first team honors. She finished the fall with 249 digs, 70 aces, 43 kills, and 16 blocks.
Gordon concluded the 2025 season with a 22-9 overall record to go with a 7-3 mark in the Conference of New England. The Fighting Scots reached the CNE Tournament semifinals before falling to top-seeded Wentworth.
