CNE RELEASE

Gordon College Baseball's Gabe Fales was recognized by the Conference of New England (CNE) as the CNE Rookie of the Week after helping the Fighting Scots to a 4-1 record this past week.

Fales, who is currently riding an eight-game hit streak, did his part at the plate with five timely hits, five runs batted in, and three runs scored. In a 4-2 win over Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday, Fales knocked in the first run of the game to tie the ball game up at 1-1 with a double through the left side. The rookie once again tied up the scoreboard in a CNE game against Curry where he hit a 2-RBI double to right center. In the same inning, Fales came around to score to take the 3-2 lead en route to the victory over Curry.

Next up for the Scots is a non-conference game at home, tomorrow April 1 against the Rhode Island College Anchormen.
