CNE RELEASE

The Conference of New England (CNE) has announced today that Gordon College Baseball's CJ Demers and Jonathan McIntyre have been awarded a spot on the All-CNE Third Team. Jacob Blake earned a spot on the Inaugural Community Service Team.

Voting for the All-Conference Teams and major awards was conducted by CNE head baseball coaches after the conclusion of the regular season

Demers cemented himself in program history this season. The power hitter had an elite sense of the strike zone and finding gaps in the field. The right fielder hit three homers, putting him at the top in the program with the most career home runs. He hit a .295 batting percentage and a .425 slugging percentage with 27 RBIs. Demers' effective base running showed in 11 stolen bases this season. One of his most notable CNE games came against Nichols where he recorded two hits and three RBIs. This is the second year in a row that Demers has been named to an All-Conference team.

McIntyre's reliable bat and glove showed up for the Scots all season long. The senior utility player's versatility and ability to deliver in big moments created a headache for teams. McIntyre ranked 15th triples with three and 15th in fielding double plays with 13. He earned a .250 batting percentage and a .956 fielding percentage. McIntyre sent the Scots into a frenzy when he showed up big in the 10th inning against Wentworth with a walk off home run. This is the second time McIntyre has been named to an All-Conference team.
