BEVERLY, Mass.- Senior Hunter Simpson (Prospect, Conn.) of the Gordon College baseball team has been selected as the Conference of New England (CNE) Pitcher of the Week, announced the league office Monday.

Simpson pitched 4.1 scoreless innings of relief and picked up the victory on the mound as the Fighting Scots stunned nationally-ranked Endicott on the road, 3-2. The senior posted one strikeout while scattering two hits and a pair of walks in the contest.

This spring, Simpson has made eight appearances out of the bullpen and has registered nine strikeouts.

Gordon owns an 11-19 overall record and a 4-8 record in league action. The Fighting Scots return to the diamond April 21 to battle Curry at home.
