As announced by Commissioner Gregg Kaye, freshman forward Leanna Tallamy (Wantage, N.J.) has been named the Women's Basketball Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week for her efforts in the Fighting Scots' first games of the 2011 campaign.

Tallamy had a standout week in her collegiate debut for the Scots, shooting 70 percent from the floor en route to a team-high 16 points in Gordon's 55-46 season-opening victory over non-conference Simmons. Following a tough loss to New England College in the first round of Gordon's Winter Classic on November 18, Tallamy once again led the charge for the Scots on day two of the Classic with an impressive 13-point, 15-rebound double-double in her team's 47-41 come-from-behind win over Lyndon State. After three outings, she is averaging 11.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

Tallamy and the rest of the Scots take to the court again on Tuesday, November 22 as they host Pine Manor in a non-conference tilt at 6:00p.m.
