Junior keeper Kari Christensen (Standish, Maine) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week and Gordon's Athlete of the Week for her efforts in leading the Fighting Scots to a pair of conference wins last week.

Christensen garners her first weekly nods of the season after turning away seven shots in a 1-0 shutout victory over Curry on Oct. 17 and following that up with five saves in a 3-0 shutout win over Eastern Nazarene on Oct. 20. With nine total shutouts to her credit on the year and just seven goals against, she has amassed an impressive .921 save percentage and 0.46 goals-against average, ranking her second in the CCC and top 25 nationally in both categories.
